The Society provides research for descendants of the Civil War prisoners held at Fort Delaware, students, authors, Historians and others. We maintain a civil war research library, complete research facilities, archives a museum of artifacts from historic fort Delaware. The society publishes numerous booklets of Fort Delaware history including the annual " Fort Delaware Notes." A semi-Annual Newsletter. the society publishes pamphlet promoting visitation to Fort Delaware state Park. As part of the Society commitment to historic preservation we signed a 35 year curatorship agreement with the Division of Park's & Recreation to restore, occupy and maintain a historic building at fort DuPont State Park. This building serve as our headquarters.

The street address for the Robelen Building is 2711 Staff Lane Fort DuPont part of the Fort DuPont Redevelopment Preservation Corporations development of the former Fort DuPont State Park site. 2711 Staff Lane Fort DuPont is open to the general public Wednesday and Thursday 8 AM to 2 PM each week throughout the year and by appointment only at other times.
