Remington Fire Department | Protecting Our Community Since 1942 NEWS HEADLINES Serving Proudly Since 1942 Eddie Andes The very first Fire Chief The Remington Volunteer Fire Rescue Department was organized in 1942 by the citizens of Remington Virginia and the surrounding areas to protect their own community. The department has a rich history and tradition for service to local residents and businesses and has saved countless lives and property over the decades. It also continues to play an important role in knitting the rural community of Remington together tightly. The RVFRS Department is proud to offer the community Today the department has over 70 active volunteer members many of whom are professional fire and rescue personnel from surrounding counties who live and volunteer in Fauquier County.
