South Central Regional Water District generously donated bottled water for Heartview and Ministry on the Margins' street outreach program. Case managers, social workers and peer support specialists team up, boots on the ground, and meet homeless individuals where they are at to connect them to community resources. Meeting their most basic of needs (such as bottled water) allows the team to build a relationship and open the door to other resources, such as entering addiction treatment. (fb)
