Our 245 members span all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia. APLU IS DEDICATED TO ADVANCING RESEARCH, LEARNING AND ENGAGEMENT. THE ASSOCIATION'S OVERRIDING MISSION IS TO SUPPORT HIGH-QUALITY PUBLIC HIGHER EDUCATION AND ITS MEMBER INSTITUTIONS AS THEY PERFORM THEIR TEACHING, RESEARCH, AND PUBLIC SERVICE ROLES. APLU PROVIDES A FORUM FOR THE DISCUSSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF POLICIES AFFECTING HIGHER EDUCATION AND THE PUBLIC INTEREST.
