PACE is a non-profit organization staffed by officers and volunteers, committed to preventing at-risk inner-city youth from becoming involved in gang violence. Bridging the gap between law enforcement and the Black community. Police Athletics for Community Engagement (P.A.C.E. Omaha) is a police community relations initiative supported by partners identified as the City of Omaha Mayor’s Office, the Omaha Police Department and the Douglas County Community-Based Juvenile Services Aid Group – Operation Youth Success. P.A.C.E. Omaha uses the universal language of sports to help “at-risk” and disadvantage inner-city youth to become better citizens and reduce the negative influences of gangs, crime and victimization in their lives. Thus, reducing crime levels and gang recruitment in our community area. P.A.C.E. is unique in that youth participants (boys and girls) ages 6 to 18 can play P.A.C.E. sponsored sports (soccer, baseball, flag football and CrossFit physical fitness) completely “free” of any fees.
