📣 OPENING TOMORROW: “Framing Lives,” the eighth annual exhibition of the CUE Teen Collective (@cueteens). This group show presents works by thirteen young artists who consider how meaning is constructed and where perspective begins. The show marks the conclusion of their year-long participation in the CTC program. Join us for a celebratory opening reception tomorrow (Thursday, May 29th) from 5:30–7:30 pm at CUE’s gallery. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, textile, photography, video, and mixed media, students trace stories of self and community. Their works stretch the limits of form while holding space for what is intimate, inherited, and in flux. Rooted in the everyday, “Framing Lives” invites us to reconfigure the lenses through which we view ourselves and each other. The exhibition, on view at CUE until Saturday, June 7th, is organized by CTC Lead Educator Amanda Adams-Louis (@lafotographeuse) with support from CUE’s Gallery Associate, Jasmine Buckley (@jazz.ivett). The exhibition considers marriage rituals from the Caucasus. Each artist employs alter egos as a vehicle for exploring and reinterpreting inherited practices. Together they create new worlds that reimagine these traditions through a speculative and queer lens.
