We are looking to update our foster interest list. We have a lot of really old information on this list so we are going to refresh it. We are deleting old data from this as most people situations change over time so if you have filled this out before 2024, please fill it out again if you are still interested. What are we looking for in a foster? 1. We need people who know the breed and have experience with the breed. 2. People who know cats and cat behavior. 3. Someone who understands that fostering is not easy and not an easy way to get your hands on a Sphynx 4. Someone who can take the time to help our fosters who need it whether that be time to learn behaviors and/or working with veterinary care. 5. Someone who can independently evaluate and care for our cats in order to get them ready for their forever home. The majority of the requests for surrender with this breed are owners who can no longer handle behavioral or health issues with their Sphynx so we need homes that are equipped to handle these kinds of things. For example, 90% of the requests we get for surrender are for behavioral inappropriate urination issues. We currently have 200+ fosters on our foster interest form and only 5 of them are willing to take cats with inappropriate urination issues. We can only take in cats where we have fosters able and wiling to help the cats needing to be surrendered and they need to be fairly close to where the cats are located. We are 100% foster based so having the more people qualified to help our cats around the US the better. Not everyone will be a fit for the cats in need but if you are on our list and you are a fit for a potential cat in need, we will reach out to you at that time. Sometimes we need homes with no other animals, or kids. Sometimes we need homes with empty spare rooms to isolate long term or homes capable of handling health issues that can be contagious to other cats so be specific when you fill out the foster interest form. Please understand that this form is for fostering, not adoption. We rarely will do a foster to adopt because we need to evaluate our surrenders and make sure we can figure out the best fit for them. We need fosters who can independently do that for us and when the cat is ready for adoption, we will consider the foster home as the forever home with an adoption fee if they can meet the forever needs of the specific cat they are fostering. If you feel you are a good candidate for a foster home and would like to be added to the potential foster list, please fill out our foster interest form. Thank you (fb)

Squeakers update 4/18/25. Squeakers is doing great! His upper respiratory issues are being managed with routine care after his initial round of an anti-viral and antibiotics. He has had some supplements added into his new diet as well as some adjustments in the environment and he's doing great. We are still awaiting some specialist appointments and his HCM scan but he's doing great! As always, we will not discuss adoption for him until that time comes. Thank you to all that have donated to his care and thank you to his amazing foster! (fb)
