During the program, students will develop city pride by learning about the rich history of Memphis and Shelby County. Memphis Entrepreneurship Academy's approach empowers youth to take charge of their futures by setting a standard for children's attitude and conduct; providing an environment where children can learn leadership and teamwork skills; and allowing children to develop self-confidence in a supportive environment. We impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through entrepreneurship. Throughout the class, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of business owners, and actually launch and run their own real, legal, fully formed companies and social movements. Complete with dynamic guest speakers from the local business community and exciting trips to local companies, the fun, projects-based MEA! MEA approach empowers youth to take charge of their futures in a profound way.
