Our Community Paramedic assists Nelsonians with all sorts of needs. Frequently, we discover that a patient's medical needs can be linked to food insecurity. Enter the Nelson County Pantry. Marion Dixon (pictured here) hooks us up with nutritional food which in some cases we deliver to the patient's home. An important part of responding to 911 calls is to prevent them whenever possible.
