On May 22nd, the House of Representatives passed the "Big Beautiful Bill Act" — and with it, devastating cuts to Medicaid totaling over $800 billion. If passed, the bill would result in the largest cut to Medicaid in history, with over 13 million people losing their healthcare. The bill now moves to the Senate. This is an opportunity to make your voice heard. Several Republican Senators have already expressed their deep reservations about cuts to Medicaid. All Senators need to hear from their constituents now. Contact your Senators and tell them: Don’t cut Medicaid. You can reach your Senate offices by calling the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121, to be transferred directly to their office. You can also find contact information for your Senators using TASH's Advocacy Tools & Resources page at https://tash.org/advocacy-tools-resources/ (fb)
