Established in 1975, the Shambhala Meditation Center of Lexington is part of a global community of meditation and retreat centers founded by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and led by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The Shambhala view is that every individual has fundamental goodness and that this is cultivated through meditation and other mindfulness practices. Located in central Kentucky, our Center offers programs that foster and promote this view.
