Indianapolis Foundation Inc
With funding shifts and reductions to education taking place at the federal and state levels, philanthropy will be playing an outsized role in filling the gaps. Earlier this week, CICF, Hamilton County Community Foundation, and The Indianapolis Foundation hosted a bus tour for fundholders and professional advisers to visit two Indianapolis schools to better understand the role of philanthropy in education and how they might get involved. From college-prep and work-study models at Providence Cristo Rey High School to personalized support for students experiencing homelessness at Brookside Elementary, the tour offered a first-hand look at both the challenges and the opportunities in Indianapolis education.
