Hi my name is Homer! I was only 4 months old when I was brought to the shelter as a stray. I am a shy guy who is looking for an extra special someone who will take the time to get to know me. I am such a loving and affectionate boy once I get to know you. I was doing ok in the shelter but since the shelter has been at capacity, all the loud noises and new dogs have caused me to shut down. Growing up in the shelter has taken it's toll on me. I just know my special person is out there who has a heart as big as I do! I would love a quiet home with a comfy couch and an owner who knows how to give the best belly rubs. I dream of a having a toy box stuffed with squeaker toys because they are my all time favorite thing! I do enjoy playing out in the yard and I do ok on a leash. Sometimes I get overwhelmed on my walks and I will want to go sit with my volunteer at my favorite bench and just be loved on. I am a big fan of belly rubs and love tasty treats. I know I take a little more time than other dogs to adjust to new things and people but I am so worth it! I show some curiosity towards younger pups or female dogs. I need a quiet home where I can relax with my new family who will help me build my confidence!
