Turning Point for Women and Families Turning Point for Women and Families is the first community based nonprofit organization to directly address domestic violence in NYCs Muslim community. Turning Point for Women and Families Founded in 2004 in the aftermath of the 911 attacks we responded to an urgent need for culturally sensitive domestic violence services. Turning Point for Women and Families Since then our work has grown exponentially to support survivors in seeking safety elderly Muslim women in breaking isolation and Muslim girls and young women in becoming leaders.
