Follow Message Edit

Global Grid Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness about energy poverty and expanding the energy grid throughout the developing world. Global Grid Project is working to bring electricity to small communities in developing countries by partnering with local organizations to access the energy needs of the community and design a program that creates a local communal grid based on renewable and locally- sourced electricity. The goal of Global Grid Project isn't just to turn on the lights, but to ensure they stay on for many years to come.

Global Grid Project

The Global Grid Project is a U.S.-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing energy poverty and expanding access to basic resources globally. Originally focusing on providing electricity to underserved communities, the organization has since expanded its mission to cover a broader range of basic resources.

Mission and Activities

The Global Grid Project partners with international organizations to raise awareness about resource poverty and work towards creating and expanding access to essential resources. By doing so, it aims to improve the quality of life for millions of people worldwide.

The organization recognizes that access to electricity is crucial for breaking the cycle of poverty, as it enables access to education, safer living conditions, and overall improvements in quality of life. The Global Grid Project views access to electricity as a fundamental human right and works to make this vision a reality.

Partnership with Engines for Change

In early 2023, the Global Grid Project joined forces with Engines for Change, a mission-aligned organization that uses motorcycles as tools to address global issues and provide educational resources. This partnership was formalized under a single legal entity, allowing both organizations to operate under the same legal framework while maintaining their distinct identities.

Legal Status

External Recognition

Global Grid Project is recognized by charity evaluators and directories, further establishing its legitimacy and commitment to its mission. This recognition includes being listed on prominent platforms that monitor and evaluate nonprofit organizations in the United States.
