Celebrating One Year with Santa Monica! 🎉 Larissa was drawn to Santa Monica because of its all-women’s program. Having witnessed her mother’s struggle with addiction, she felt a deep calling to help others navigate their own recovery journeys. She immersed herself in learning about addiction’s biological and psychological effects and began her career at a coed facility, working primarily with men. However, she soon realized that her experiences, perspective, and passion were better suited for supporting women. After taking time to grow personally and professionally, she set her sights on Santa Monica, determined to bring her skills and knowledge to the program. Since joining as a counselor in the IR program on April 8, 2024, she has found fulfillment in her role and remains dedicated to empowering the women she serves.
