Welcome Dr. William (Bill) Butler to the Board of Trustees! 👏 Dr. Butler brings an extraordinary breadth of experience and expertise to the Foundation. He earned his BS in Biology from the College of William and Mary, his MD from the University of Virginia, and a Masters in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Board-certified in General Surgery, Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine, Wound Management, Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Public Health and General Preventive Medicine, and Aerospace Medicine, Dr. Butler has also earned the U.S. Air Force’s prestigious Academic/Clinical Grandmaster designation in both Hyperbaric and Aerospace Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Aerospace Medical Association and is an internationally recognized expert in altitude decompression sickness and aeromedical evacuation.
