The mission of the foundation is to raise awareness of the critical roles first responders play in their communities and the unique challenges they face as a result of these roles. Through this heightened awareness the foundation seeks to connect first responders to each other and to their communities in supportive and affirming partnerships.

Steve Bender founded the foundation in 2013 to help fill the gap in assistance to our homefront heros the first responders. Steve is a Persian Gulf Air Force veteran as well as a 29 year volunteer firefighter and has always had a passion for helping others. Helping our first responders one step at a time.
