Misfit Acres is a 501c3 sanctuary which provides a permanent home for formerly "unlucky horses" Misfit Acres addresses the problem of "no longer wanted horses" and provides the animals a sanctuary. Misfit Acres provides and environment safe from abuse, neglect, and live slaughter for human consumption.  Misfit Acres also serves as a learning point for families, children's organizations, challenged adults, and individuals where the visitors get hands-on interaction with the Sanctuary Horses as well as insight to responsible animal care
