Foundation for Improvement of Justice

The Foundation for Improvement of Justice, Inc. seeks to recognize and reward individuals and organizations who are making innovative contributions to the improvement of the civil or criminal justice system in one or more of the following areas: legal reform, crime prevention, child protection, speeding the process, crime victims' rights, alternative sentencing, lowering the cost, improvements to the civil litigation process, or other significant efforts. Nominations for the prestigious Paul H. Chapman Award are sought each year by the May 15th deadline. The sole mission of the Foundation is to honor selected winners with an awards package at our annual banquet in Atlanta, GA. Nominations are accepted from all 50 states. Please note that this is NOT a grant.

OUR MISSION The Foundation for Improvement of Justice Inc. is a nonprofit private foundation that was established in 1984 for the purpose of recognizing those who have improved local state and federal systems of justice within the United States. Through our annual Paul H. Chapman Awards and banquet the Foundation honors and rewards individuals and organizations whose innovative accomplishments have significantly impacted our justice system.
