THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDED HOUSING TO QUALIFIED ELDERLY PERSONS THROUGH THE OPERATION OF A 56-UNIT MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING COMPLEX IN KINGMAN, ARIZONA. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED DECENT, SAFE, SANITARY AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO 57 RESIDENTS: 2% UNDER 62 (SPOUSE), 78% BETWEEN THE AGES 62-80; AND 20% BETWEEN AGES 81-95 AND 0% OVER 96. OF THIS RESIDENT POPULATION, 36% WERE IDENTIFIED AS AT-RISK ELDERLY, AND 19% WERE IDENTIFIED AS FRAIL ELDERLY. HARRISON HAVEN HAS A SERVICE COORDINATOR WHO ASSISTS RESIDENTS IN OBTAINING NEEDED SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FROM COMMUNITY AGENCIES. THIS SERVICE COORDINATOR IS A VALUABLE RESOURCE PERSON WHO ASSISTED RESIDENTS WITH SERVICES SUCH AS: ADVOCACY, ASSESSMENTS, HEALTHCARE SERVICES, BENEFITS/ENTITLEMENTS/INSURANCE, CRISIS INTERVENTION/SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING, HOME MANAGEMENT, LEGAL ASSISTANCE, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, ALTERNATIVE HOUSING, TRANSLATION/INTERPRETATION AND TRANSPORTATION.
