Special Surfers

Follow Message Edit

Special Surfers is a community based volunteer fueled program to allow children and adults with special needs to participate in a physically demanding and exhilarating sport. Their participation should be first and foremost a fun and safe experience, regardless of outside expectations. Pride, joy, personal growth and a sense of accomplishment are the goals. Special Surfers allows participants to enjoy a mainstream sport. For a population who struggle to fit in or do not get the chance to experience physical thrills this is a therapeutic and exciting outing.
