Keys provides good information to youth, their parents and direct caregivers so they can make good choices. In Kansas, over 71,400 youth have major mental health problems (based on Surgeon General's national prevalence rate of 10%). Less than 30,000 receive services from the public mental health system. These children are more than twice as likely to experience school failure and/or be invited to leave school early.
