Home Our Residences James Lenox House Association provides housing to older adults in two residences on Manhattans Upper East Side James Lenox House and Carnegie East House. Founded at the end of the Civil War by NYCs prominent Lenox family to provide safe housing for war widows James Lenox House Association continues as a donorsupported notforprofit organization focused on offering older adults exceptional housing that is affordable safe secure diverse and healthcentric. James Lenox House is part of the MitchellLama Housing Program and meets a growing need for affordably priced independent housing with quality supportive services for those age 55 and older. James Lenox House Association is comprised of James Lenox House on East 73rd Street offering independent housing and Carnegie East House near East 95th Street offering enhanced services to those needing help with daily living.
