Each year Hoosier Heartland State Bank employees are nominated by their peers for three awards: a Mission Award, a Vision Award, and a Values Award. Finalists in each category then select a Heartstring Charity to receive a gift in honor of that employee. We are honored that Jessica Hockersmith selected us as her charity! As the second runner up for the Mission Award, we received $1,000 in her honor. Jessica said she chose MCCF because after doing her own research, she felt it had the widest reach across the community. We added her gift to the Montgomery County Early Learning Center endowment fund, where it will be matched $1:$1. In all, HHSB distributed $48,000 to local nonprofit organizations at their celebration. Thank you to HHSB for investing in our community and thanks to Jessica for modeling the bank’s mission of giving back. Fun fact: In addition to their direct philanthropic gifts, HHSB has also awarded $119,650 through their funds here at MCCF! (fb)
