THE CHATTANOOGA TIMES FREE PRESS FOUNDATION IS THE NONPROFIT ARM OF THE CHATTANOOGA TIMES FREE PRESS, CHATTANOOGA'S ONLY DAILY NEWSPAPER. THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY BASED CHARITABLE INITIATIVES HELPING TO FOSTER LITERACY, CHILDREN'S WELFARE, THE ARTS AND RESEARCH, FINDING CURES FOR CANCER AND OTHER SERIOUS ILLNESS. THE FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTES TO EVENTS THAT ADDRESS COMMUNITY BASED ISSUES, SPONSORS OR FACILITATES EDUCATION EFFORTS IN THE SCHOOLS RELATING TO JOURNALISM, PROMOTES THE PUBLIC AND SOCIAL BENEFITS OF A WATCHDOG MEDIA AND SUPPORTS OTHER COMMUNITY BASED CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS.
