Accessibility to drinking water is a serious problem for Nepali communities especially those in the Eye Camp and Cataract Operations CDO and its partners offer free checkups to hundreds of people annually testing their vision and screening them for cataracts. In 2016 thirteen villagers had safe cataract operations. Safe Motherhood and Childcare Program Nepals infant mortality rate is alarming at around 50 deaths per 1000 live births.
