Tidelines Institute
We had some beautiful adventures with Hillbrook School this last week. Students learned about renewable energy systems while swapping out our lead acid batteries for lithium ion; they learned about sustainable food systems while roasting local wild salmon over a beach fire; and they learned about connecting to the natural world while hiking and paddling all throughout the Inian Islands. We were so grateful to see you all back in Alaska this year.

Tidelines Institute
It takes a hardy soul to come to Alaska in late winter, especially when your soul is used to sunny California. Nevertheless, early last month, a bold group of students from The Nueva School visited for a spring break trip (I guess spring had already arrived in the Bay Area). Despite the fog and drizzle, students got out hiking and paddling, learned some new homesteading skills, and brought authenticity and intention to a final storytelling project.
