We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization empowering high-risk communities on the frontlines of climate change, wildlife loss and environmental devastation. http://empoweredbylight.org We deploy solar technologies to empower communities, wildlife and ecosystems most impacted by climate change. We achieve this by donating renewable energy technologies and facilitating the recruitment of local people to install, operate and maintain the systems that make their communities more independent, resilient and sustainable. Our approach improves lives and the environment, encourages local development and serves as a catalyst for adoption of expansion of renewable energy in the regions we serve. We have completed more than 80 solar and energy storage projects in nine countries benefitting over 500,000 people.
