Vector Space
Two custom-built chess tables have been installed at the Depot Grove, right next to Depot Grille — bringing a new way to connect, think, and play in Downtown Lynchburg. Thanks to Vector Space and funding from the City of Lynchburg’s Arts & Culture District Grant, the tables were designed and built by Adam Spontarelli and feature: ♟️Steel bases plasma cut and welded into chess piece shapes ♟️Contrasting wood tops, CNC-cut and sealed with epoxy for durability ♟️Anchored in concrete for long-lasting use The tables are free and open to the public. Bring your own pieces, or borrow a set from The Water Dog, Depot Grille, or Lynchburg Public Library Downtown Branch — just leave your ID or library card to check out a set.
