Barking Down Memory Lane…….. Who remembers our LL Dog Rescue Alumni & Friends Picnic when they were outside at Antioch Park? Seems like the day was hotter than heck or pouring down rain and cold. We had to walk forever, uphill, to get to a bathroom that didn’t flush. Hike back through the mud to get to cover from the rain or sun. Those were the days. We were all much younger. Since 2012 the American Legion Post 370 - Overland Park, KS stepped up and let us rent their banquet room. Climate controlled, flushable toilets, handicap access, lots of chairs and tables. It was really a dream come true to team up with them. American Legion Auxiliary - Kansas Unit 370 is collecting can food for a food pantry they assists. The need is greater in the summer, as school is out and many kids miss the lunch they are provided. Lets say thank you this year by bringing a non perishable item to donate to their collection. Lets see if with all of us, we can fill up a laundry basket to donate from the dogs. (fb)
