🧡 Meet little Marcia! California sea lion pup Marcia was rescued from Dockweiler Beach. Actor Christopher Knight, best known for playing Peter Brady in “The Brady Bunch,” assisted our response team with her rescue. Marcia was thin and lethargic when she arrived at our hospital. At nearly a year old, Marcia should be an eager fish-eater, but she has not shown interest in eating since her arrival. Our animal care experts have been tube-feeding her a “fish smoothie” to ensure she gets the nutrition she needs. They have also noted that she has been coughing and wheezing, and they found tapeworms, a type of parasite, in her poop. Additionally, she has developed a small wound on her right front flipper. Our veterinary team started Marcia on antibiotics for suspected pneumonia. Thanks for giving Marcia a second chance at life! (fb)
