Last night, we celebrated our annual flagship event: The JCRC Social Justice Seder. Despite weather, we welcomed over 200 guests from the Greater Nashville community to the Gordon JCC to partake in a Seder focusing on showing love for our neighbors. Among our guests were elected officials, community leaders, students, and partner organizations. Featured guest, Sloan Luckie, delivered powerful remarks on the importance of solidarity between people of all beliefs, and how history brings us all together. The Seder, led by Rabbi Saul Strosberg, also featured incredible music by Cantor Tracy Fishbein and Brett Fromson a performance by students from Akiva, JMS, and Kehilla. We were also pleased to honor our Community Relations Director, Deborah Oleshansky, for the incredible work she has accomplished during her years at the Federation. This special event is exemplary of the love and support within not only the Jewish community, but also within the entire Nashville community. #JewishNashville 📸 Photos by: Emily Allen (fb)
