Rural America Initiatives (RAI) is an all-Native non-profit organization founded in 1986 to provide opportunities to the Native community in Rapid City. Rural America Initiatives is a community-based, non-profit agency serving American Indian children, youth and families in and around western South Dakota with culturally sensitive family services, comprehensive child development, parent support and advocacy, referrals, and group mentoring.

Rural America Initiatives RAI is a 501c3 nonprofit social services agency targeting lowincome Native American families. We address the needs of our community through educational programs that include resources for the whole family. Started in 1986 we are the largest nonprofit continuously operating Native American organization in Rapid City.
