To support and empower parents through education about hearing loss and auditory processing disorder To provide family-centered emotional, informational, and technical support to parents with children birth to age 22 who are deaf or hard hearing, deaf parents with hearing children, and professionals serving those families throughout North Carolina. We believe that when parents have balanced and objective information, they can make choices that are right for their child and family.

Home : NC Beginnings Our Mission BEGINNINGS for Parents of Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is a nonprofit that helps parents and families understand hearing loss as well as the diverse needs of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Our impartial support helps families make informed decisions and empowers them to advocate for their childs needs. We support deaf parents who have children who are hearing and collaborate with the professionals who serve all of our children. The 202324 fiscal year was a remarkable period of growth and impact for BEGINNINGS.
