The Foundation is pleased to announce that in the first cycle of 2025 Grants, we awarded grants in March of 2025 totaling over $85,000 to several organizations in West Virginia. Congratulations to the following recipients: • Asbury Woods Camp in the Nine Rivers District for multi-age playground equipment. • Elizabeth Memorial UMC in Charleston, for its Church of the Wild program. • Elm Grove UMC in Wheeling to provide funding for ministries to persons with disabilities and/or special needs. • First UMC in Clarksburg, for its “The Circle: A Community for All” program. • Life UMC in Fairmont to host spiritual growth retreats. • Simpson UMC in Moundsville for its Dinner Church ministry. • The Cast and Catch program of Healing Waters for Warriors to provide respite and healing for veterans through events that foster emotional support and renewal. • The Frankford Charge in the Greenbrier-Wesleyan District for its Celebrate Recovery program. • Traditions and Technology for its Third Spaces program, a monthly gathering focusing on God and the creative arts. • UMC Discipleship Ministries for training for youth and young adult leaders. • Wesley UMC in Morgantown to host a family of Ukrainian refugees. • West Virginia United Methodist Disaster Response to efficiently pack and provide flood relief supplies • West Virginia’s Helping, Inc. for its Boots for Babes program of providing shoes for students in need.
