Akron AIDS Collaborative
Home of the Akron AIDS Collaborative, our Center is a safe space for Black LGBTQ+ folks, and others, to hang out and find services tailored to their experience. Akron's Premier Multicultural LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Our mission is to broaden the network of caring organizations in the minority community; to influence social norms that contribute to the prevention of HIV/AIDS; and to increase advocacy for social services for people of color who are living with HIV/AIDS, and people who have suffered from sexual orientation stigma within the African American community.

Community connection is survival. This fall, we’re joining neighbors on Akron’s West Side for an afternoon of food, games, and local music. Putting “real boots on the ground” means more than showing up—it means building safety, joy, and resources right where we live.
