The horizons are ringed by the San Juan Mountains to the east the La Sal Mountains in the west the Uncompahgre Plateau to the north and Norwoods crowned jewel landmark Lone Cone Peak to the south. Wrights Mesa is well known for its farming and ranching heritage. Residents have been laying down roots on Wrights Mesa farming the areas fertile land for well over a century and continue to make farming and ranching a way of life today.
