We work w/ area youth to develop leadership potential, provide career training, environmental education, & combat climate change by increasing our urban forest! Today is Giving Tuesday! The mission of Groundwork Richmond is to bring about the sustained regeneration, improvement and management of the physical environment by developing community-based partnerships which empower people. Objectives: Increasing the capacity of communities to improve and care for their local environment. Reclaim vacant and derelict lands for conservation, recreation, and economic development. Engage business, government, non-profits and communities to work together in environmental improvement projects. Alleviating poverty by providing opportunities for youth to engage in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) related projects, internships, job opportunities and career & college track programs.
