G.L.A.D. is an Indiana-licensed adoption agency in Evansville, founded by Nancy VanHoose in 1987. In 1981, our founder, Nancy VanHoose, received a phone call about adopting a baby boy that would change her life and the lives of many others forever. She and her husband were able to adopt that baby boy, and, in 1987, G.L.A.D. was formed. We offer women Greater Love Adoption Decision, Inc. (GLAD) has been helping women in crisis pregnancy since 1987 by providing a safe place to consider what is best for both mom and baby. GLAD provides free counseling with licensed professionals, transportation to and from doctor's appointments, and financial assistance for living needs including rent, electric, and food. We strive to educate the community about adoption while encouraging women to pause -- not panic -- and plan a loving option for their child. When a woman decides to parent her child, GLAD works to connect her to community resources and help her collect the items she will need to get started. We want every woman to make a good transition into parenting or into adoption while feeling support and care.
