We are thrilled to finally have our first sea turtle nest of the season! We also want to send a big congratulations to North Carolina State Parks and Recreation Fort Fisher, Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program and Caswell Beach Turtle Watch for getting their first nests of the season too! The Cape Fear Momma Turtles are back! We are dedicating our first nest of the 2025 season in memory of Bob Ketels. Bob was one of our biggest supporters and a former Board President who passed away last year. Bob and his wife Kathy centered their BHI lives around the Conservancy and our Sea Turtle Protection Program.
