Seeking to reform laws and policies that contribute to the criminalization of children in Indiana. TO EDUCATE AND ADVOCATE FOR SYSTEMIC CHANGES IN PUBLIC POLICY THAT WILL ADDRESS THE UNMET LEGAL NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND RESULT IN THE JUST AND AGE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT FOR ALL CHILDREN IN THE STATE OF INDIANA. TO ADVANCE AGE AND DEVELOPMENTALLY-APPROPRIATE PRACTICES THAT PREVENT CHILDREN FROM ENTERING INTO JUVENILE AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS.

Home Children39s Policy Law Initiative of Indiana CHILDREN39S POLICY LAW INITIATIVE OF INDIANA Mission Statement CPLI advocates for systemic changes for children so that programs policies and practices are developmentally appropriate equitably administered and fair and provide the necessary support for a childs successful transition to adulthood. CPLI is excited to announce theCreating Excellence in School Culture and Climate 2024 Report The Children39s Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana CPLI conducted a series of Best Practices Workshops with two inperson gatherings and subsequently convened a sixmonth long workgroup who analyzed the findings. The work from this yearlong process has resulted in a report with nine themes recommendations and action steps to support creating safe and secure positive school climates for every school in Marion County. Made possible by CPLI Community Leaders and Organizations Indianapolis Youth and the CICF Elevation Grant Program.
