The Black Caucus of the Georgia Library Association is proud to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2025 GLA BIPOC Travel Grant. The goal of this travel grant is to support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) members of the GLA Black Caucus in attending and participating in the annual Georgia Libraries Conference. The award amount is $350.00. The application deadline will be Friday, July 25, 2025. To qualify, you must: - Be an active member of GLA and a member of the BC-GLA - Be a person who is legally born as BIPOC: "Black, Indigenous, and People of Color as defined by the BIPOC Project and used by ALA. - Write an essay of 300 words or less on how the professional development grant will help achieve a professional development goal. - Be currently employed in a Georgia library. - The winner will be featured at GLC and on BC-GLA’s blog.
