The Animal Welfare League of Frederick County (AWLFC) is a nonprofit animal welfare organization established in 2002. It is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Frederick County, Maryland, by promoting the humane treatment of animals and working towards a community where every pet is a wanted pet.

AWLFC is a partner of Best Friends Animal Society, collaborating to save the lives of dogs and cats in the community and striving for a no-kill policy across the country. Over the years, AWLFC has rescued over 1,000 animals and facilitated more than 100 adoptions annually.
