Voices for Children We Provide Trained Volunteer Advocates to Children in Foster Care THIS MONTH IN HOWARD COUNTY ABUSED 216 children will be reported as abused neglected or abandoned. Many families are given services to prevent foster care REMOVED 75 children are in foster care most of whom have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect REUNIFIED With the support of a CASA volunteer 38 of children in foster care are reunified with their family What is a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Consistent Presence Children in foster care have experienced abuse and neglect. Once they enter the system their world suddenly includes court hearings social workers attorneys and often new homes and schools.
