stillSHARING: A while back the Facing Homelessness community donated funds to help Grayson with repairs on his van/home. Yesterday some of those remaining funds were used for an oil change at Jiffy Lube. He was his usual graysonGRATEFULself! Grayson has had a very tough go of it recently. His dog Roshi, who was his best friend, was put down by the Seattle Animal Shelter. Several days later his van was broken into and the resonator guitar he busks with was stolen. It was all too much. For all that he has gone through, I was surprised when he jumped out of the van, gave a big hug, and said, "I gotta show you something!" He had been given a 1936 National resonator with the cover-plate missing. In addition to being a gifted musician, Grayson also repairs and refurbishes instruments. Watch the video in the comments to see and hear how he fixed this resonator up, giving him again a means for making some income busking. Every person struggling on our streets has tremendous worth. All we need to do is come closer, to see and feel their humanity. That's all it takes. In those moments of relationship we give and get the support and love needed for healthy community. compassionFLOW: Erin Bosik is a long time superduperSTAR volunteer for the Facing Homelessness Window of Kindness. She has created countless beautiful friendships at the window, making a profound difference in the lives of so many. But wait, there's more! Erin also works at FLOW FITNESS in the Fremont neighborhood where she teaches indoor cycling classes, or I should say where she enthusiasticallyINSPIRES people to get in-shape! Management at FLOW FITNESS has a deep desire to foster community and loves to find ways to give back. They challenged their instructors to be the first to get a team of 10 members to complete 108 classes, with the winner picking the charity of their choice to receive $500.00! !!!Erin and her team won and chose Facing Homelessness to receive the funds!!!
