Homeward Bound CT is a group of volunteers who create venues for these rescues. We find locations, promote the events and the dogs, help with prescreening potential adopters and supply many volunteers to help with the dog during the events. We do this all with no charge to any of the rescues. All adoption fees go directly to the rescues to help cover the expenses they've incurred. Normally the fees don't even come close but the rescues aren't in this for the money. Homeward Bound has also created Spay it Forward CT, where we raise funds and solicit Veterinarians to help us Spay and Neuter our CT Shelter Dogs before they are adopted.
