
North Carolina Reading Service
North Carolina Reading Service is a nonprofit organization with a mission to connect people who are blind and print impaired to each other, their families and communities by delivering news, information, entertainment and special features using the latest audio technology. Broadcasts occur 24 hours a day on an audio network of radio, television, streaming to the internet, and podcasts. Through the generosity of 150 volunteers, NCRS broadcasts 24/7 (168 hours a week) of quality programming. NCRS, located in Raleigh, NC provides the four other reading services with our signal (downlink). It is estimated that more than 25,000 people with print disabilities access the service.
