black disability center

The African-American Advocacy Center for Persons with Disabilities' ("AAACPD") mission is three-fold. First, we are to provide awareness within the African American community of disabilities and the resources necessary to overcome these challenges. Second, we will utilize our advocacy skills to provide a voice to African-Americans and others who have a need for our legal services. Last but not least, AAACPD will provide, or work with partners, to provide direct services to children and adults affected by any type of developmental disability. We believe that through awareness, advocacy, and access, persons with disabilities can improve their well-being and become productive members of the community.
