THE PURPOSE OF THE CALIFORNIA OIL MUSEUM FOUNDATION IS TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF THE CALIFORNIA OIL MUSEUM BY FINANCING IT THROUGH SOLICITATIONS TO PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS AND INDIVIDUALS. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SHALL ACT AS AMBASSADORS FOR THE MUSEUM BY PROMOTING IT, ITS PROGRAMS, AND ITS PURPOSES AS ESTABLISHED IN ITS MISSION STATEMENT.
